Pick it up
Real glass is cool and substantial. Resin feels warm, light, and hollow. Our tubes have real weight β many customers say the heavy box was their first clue it's genuine.
Look at the texture
Hand-cast crackle texture has true depth you can feel with a fingertip. Resin texture looks like it's printed on a flat surface.
Turn on the light
Glass refracts light into a layered, moving glow. Resin tends to look flat, dull, or slightly cloudy when lit.

The Aveline Tiered Frosted Glass Chandelier is built from flat glass panels clipped individually to a brass ring, arranged in two overlapping rows β the upper tier stepping back, the lower one carrying the weight and closing the bottom. Each panel is frosted through with a cloudy, mottled texture rather than sandblasted evenly, so no two catch the light the same way and none of them is fully opaque. The result reads as a drum from across a room and as a wall of individual pieces from directly beneath.
Most drum chandeliers wrap a single continuous shade around a frame. This one does the opposite: it stays a collection of separate parts that never quite closes. Light escapes through the gaps between panels as much as through the glass itself, so the fixture has vertical seams of brightness running through it and never flattens into one even glow. 01It's 31.5β³ wide β is my ceiling high enough?
Almost certainly, and this is the thing most people get wrong about it. Width and drop are two different questions.
The fixture itself is only 10.2β³ deep β a shallow drum, not a tiered chandelier. A tiered piece the same width would hang two feet into the room before you added any chain. Here, how far it comes down is decided by how much chain you leave, not by the fixture.
So it works on a standard 9 ft ceiling, and on a taller one you simply leave more chain. Tell us your ceiling height when you order if you need extra.
02Will I see the bulbs when I'm sitting under it?
No. The lower row of panels curves inward and closes at a small finial, so the base is shut rather than open.
That matters more than it sounds. Most panelled chandeliers leave the bottom open β fine in a hallway you walk through, uncomfortable over a table where people sit and look up all evening. Here there's no angle from underneath where a filament shows.
03Is it too big for my table?
At 31.5β³ across it suits a round table of 48β60β³ or a rectangular one 40β48β³ wide. The usual guide is about half the table's width.
Not sure? Cut a paper circle at 31.5β³ and lay it on the table. Two minutes, and it settles the question better than any photograph.

Small candle bulbs β E12 in the US and Canada, E14 in Europe and most of Asia. Bulbs are not included.
Choose LED in warm white, around 2700K, and use the same bulb throughout. Cool white light through frosted glass turns grey and drains the warmth out of the gold β it's the quickest way to make an expensive fixture look cheap.

Easier than most chandeliers this size. The four chains gather to a single point above the fixture, so you set the height by shortening one chain rather than balancing four. A ten-minute job instead of an afternoon of levelling.

10What if a panel breaks?
That panel is replaced on its own. Each one is held by its own clip rather than set into a sealed frame, so a single damaged piece never means returning a 31-inch fixture β which would mean freight both ways and weeks with a bare ceiling.
If anything arrives damaged, send us photos within 24 hours of delivery and we'll replace the affected panels. After that we keep spares and can send them at any time.
11How do I clean it?
Switch off, let the bulbs cool, then wipe each panel with a soft cloth, barely damp, followed by a dry one. Work from the top row downward so dust falls away from what you've already done. Once or twice a year is plenty.
One thing worth knowing before you buy: this isn't a kitchen fixture. Open gaps between panels and cooking grease are a poor combination, and grease that settles into the gaps doesn't come out with dusting.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
In order to be eligible for a return/exchange, your item must be in the same condition as you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need a receipt or proof of purchase.
