A necklace laid over a ceiling. The curve is gravity's, not ours.
The Coralie Draped Pearl Chandelier strings opal spheres onto slender cables and hangs them in long swagging curves from a single canopy — each strand caught at a point you choose, so the piece drapes rather than descends.
The curve between two points was never designed either. A weighted strand suspended at both ends falls into a catenary — the one shape it will hold under its own weight, and the same curve you get from a necklace laid over a hand. Every swag here is that curve at a different width, which is why any arrangement reads as composed rather than arranged. It is perfectly suited for suspension above a long dining table, in an open stairwell, or in a soaring foyer—making it an ideal choice for any space spacious enough to fully showcase its graceful curves.

1
You Draw the CurveEach strand hooks at a point you place in the ceiling. Set the points close together and the curves fall deep and narrow; spread them wide and the same fixture stretches into a shallow ribbon across a room.
-
2
The Shape Gravity DrawsNobody designed the drape. A weighted strand hung between two points falls into a catenary — the one curve it holds under its own weight, the same one a necklace makes over a hand.

3
Every Sphere Lit From WithinEach one glows on its own rather than sharing a single tube of light, so the strand reads as a line of separate soft points. No LED visible in any sphere, and no hotspot along the run.
Dimensions & Placement

-
Stairwell VoidWhere this piece belongs first. At H 54.6″ (4 ft 7 in) it needs height to fall through, and a stairwell is seen from two levels at once — the curve reads completely from the landing and again from below.
-
Double-Height EntryCeilings of 12 ft (3.6 m) and up. Centre it over the open floor rather than the door, and keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance beneath the lowest sphere anywhere people walk.
-
Over a Long TablePossible with 10 ft (3 m) ceilings or more — spread the pick-up points along the length of the table so the curve follows it. Hang the lowest sphere 30–36″ (75–90 cm) above the tabletop; you can go lower here because nobody walks beneath.
-
Where It Will Not WorkNot a fixture for a standard 8 ft ceiling — at 4 ft 7 in tall there is nowhere for it to go. Not for a bathroom, above a bath or shower, in a laundry or on a covered porch either; this is an indoor, dry-location piece.

What Makes It Special
A weighted strand hung between two points falls into a catenary — the single shape it will hold under its own weight, and the same curve a necklace makes when you lay it over your hand. It cannot be routed wrong because it cannot be drawn at all. Every swag here is that curve at a different width, which is why any arrangement you choose reads as composed rather than arranged. You are not being asked to have good taste, only to choose a distance.
The diffusers are opal polycarbonate, and that is a structural decision rather than a substitution. A strand this long carries a great many spheres on a slim cable — in glass the same run would weigh several times as much and could not hang from cables and ceiling hooks at all. It would need a rigid frame, and the drape would be gone. PC is the reason this fixture can behave like a necklace instead of a rack. It also diffuses evenly enough that no LED is visible inside any sphere.
All of them are identical, and that is what lets the curve read cleanly. Equal spheres sit at equal spacing, so the eye follows one unbroken rhythm from one end of a strand to the other with nothing to interrupt it — the line is doing the work, not the beads. It also means the strand looks correct from any angle and at any spacing you hang it: nothing gets top-heavy when a curve falls deep, and nothing thins out when you stretch it wide.
One Canopy Stays. The Rest Is Yours.
Two kinds of ceiling fitting, and only one of them is fixed.
The Canopy — One, and It Cannot Move
The canopy carries all the wiring, so it has to sit on your existing junction box. Wherever the electrician left that box is where the canopy goes.
It is worth planning around rather than fighting: the canopy is the anchor, and everything else is arranged in relation to it. If the box is badly placed, the strands are what fix that — not the canopy.
The Pick-Up Points — Anywhere You Like
Every other fitting is just a hook and a cable, with no wiring in it at all. That is why they can go anywhere on the ceiling — near the canopy, far from it, in a line, in an arc.
These are what decide the shape. The same strands and the same canopy become a completely different fixture depending on where you put them.
Follow one strand with your eye and you can see how it is routed. Both strands leave the canopy, run out along the ceiling to a small fitting on each side, and only then fall into the curve. Those fittings hold a cable and nothing else — there is no electricity in them at all, which is exactly why they can be placed anywhere.
Which is why the drape in a photograph is one arrangement, not the arrangement. Below are three, from the same fixture.
Points Close
A deep, narrow loop that hangs low. Right for a stairwell void, where the curve is seen from the side and wants to fall.
Points Medium
A balanced swag — the arrangement most photographs show. Right over a dining table, following its length.
Points Wide
A shallow ribbon stretching across the ceiling — and note the canopy sits off to one side. It does not have to be centred on the curve.
Start from the box you already have
The canopy mounts to your existing junction box, and that position is fixed. Do not plan the drape first and hope the box lands somewhere convenient — plan outward from where it actually is.
Mark the pick-up points with tape
Before anything is drilled, put a piece of tape on the ceiling at each point you are considering and live with it for a day. Stand where you will actually stand — at the foot of the stairs, at the head of the table. Tape costs nothing; a hole in a ceiling does not.
Fix the hooks, then hang the strands
With the points fixed, each strand lifts into place and the curve finds its own shape — you are not shaping it, gravity is. Two people make this far easier: one supporting the strand, one at the ceiling.
Change the shape later, cheaply
Unhook a strand, move its point, fill one small hole. No electrician and no rewiring, because the pick-up points carry no current — only the canopy does, and the canopy is not moving. Rearrange the room in two years and the light rearranges with it.
The canopy goes where the wiring is. Everything else goes where you want it.
Nobody Drew This Curve
Hang a strand from two points and it makes this shape. It has no choice.
Take a necklace off and lay it over your hand. Whatever curve it makes, you did not design it — and you could not have designed a better one. Hang anything flexible and evenly weighted between two points and it falls into the same line every time. It has a name, the catenary, and it is the one shape a hanging strand will hold under its own weight.
Stonemasons found it by hanging chains upside down and tracing the arc to build vaults that would not fall. Bridge engineers found it in cables. And anyone who has ever draped a garland over a doorway found it without knowing there was anything to find. It is not a style. It is what gravity does with a line.
Which is what this fixture is built on. The spheres are strung on cable and hung from points you place yourself, and then the curve arrives on its own — you set the two ends and the middle decides where to be. Set the points close and it falls deep; spread them wide and it stretches into a shallow ribbon. Every one of those is the same curve at a different width, so there is no arrangement that comes out wrong. You are not being asked to have taste. You are being asked to choose a distance.
The spheres are opal, lit from within and graduating in size as each strand descends — larger at the top, tapering as it falls, exactly the way a graduated strand of pearls is made. That detail is the difference between jewellery and a row of balls on a wire. Not styled after a necklace. Obeying the same rule a necklace obeys.
Coming Down the Stairs
You meet it at eye level halfway, then look down on it from the landing. Most chandeliers have one good angle. A curve seen from above and from beside is two different objects.
The Table, Lit Low
Dozens of small soft points rather than one bright source, following the length of the table instead of hanging over its middle. Everyone gets light. Nobody gets a lamp in the eye.
The Morning After Someone Asks
A guest wants to know who designed that curve. The honest answer is nobody did — and it turns out that is a far better story than a designer's name would have been.
You choose the two ends. Gravity draws everything in between.
Before You Order
Everything you might want to know about the shape, the ceiling, and getting it installed.
01Is the shape fixed, or can I change it?
You decide it, and this is the most important thing to understand about the fixture. The drape in any photograph is one arrangement, not the arrangement.
Each strand runs out from the canopy to a small fitting on the ceiling, and you place that fitting wherever you want it. Set the points close together and the curve falls deep and narrow; spread them wide and the same strands stretch into a shallow ribbon. Same fixture, completely different object.
02Can I put the canopy anywhere too?
No — and the distinction matters when you are planning. There are two different kinds of ceiling fitting here.
The canopy carries all the wiring, so it has to sit on your existing junction box. Wherever the electrician left that box is where the canopy goes. The pick-up points carry no electricity at all — just a hook and a cable — which is exactly why those can go anywhere. Plan outward from the box you already have, and let the strands do the rest.
03Will it fit my ceiling height?
Check this before anything else. At H 54.6″ — 4 ft 7 in from the canopy to the lowest sphere — this is not a fixture for a standard 8 ft ceiling. There is simply nowhere for it to go.
It belongs where there is height to fall through: a stairwell void, a double-height entry (12 ft and up), or above a long table in a room with 10 ft ceilings or more. Keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of floor clearance beneath the lowest sphere anywhere people walk. Over a table you can hang lower, since nobody walks underneath.
04Why is the curve that particular shape?
05What are the spheres made of?
Opal polycarbonate, on a steel frame — and that is a structural decision rather than a substitution for something better.
A strand this long carries a great many spheres on a slim cable. In glass the same run would weigh several times as much and could not hang from cables and ceiling hooks at all — it would need a rigid frame, and the drape would be gone. PC is the reason this can behave like a necklace instead of a rack. It also diffuses evenly enough that no LED is visible inside any sphere, and it will not shatter if a strand is knocked during installation.
06Can I change the bulbs?
07Can it be dimmed?
08Is it difficult to install?
The wiring is straightforward — one canopy on one junction box, done by a licensed electrician with the power off. The part that takes care is placing the pick-up points, and that is worth doing slowly.
Before anything is drilled, mark the positions on the ceiling with tape and live with them for a day. Stand where you will actually stand — at the foot of the stairs, at the head of the table. Tape costs nothing; a hole in a ceiling does not. Two people make the hanging far easier: one supporting the strand, one at the ceiling.
09How do I clean it?

Three Ways to Hang a Necklace
The same silhouette, built three different ways. They are not three prices for one thing — each is right for a different ceiling and a different budget.

Coralie Draped Pearl Chandelier
The one you shape yourself. Each strand runs from the canopy to a hook you place, so the curve is set on site — deep and narrow, or stretched wide across a ceiling. H 54.6″, built for a stairwell or a double-height entry.
Choose this if you have real height to fill and you want to decide the shape rather than accept one. Currently Viewing

Luxurious Pearl Necklace Chandelier
The classic version of the shape, arriving with its drape already set. One canopy, no hooks to place, and nothing to decide at installation — you hang it and it looks like the photograph.
Choose this if you want the look with a straightforward install, or your ceiling has no scope for extra fixing points. View Product

Acrylic Pearl Necklace Chandelier
The same silhouette in acrylic — the lightest of the three and the easiest on a ceiling that cannot take much weight. A sensible answer for a rental, a child's room, or a first version of the look.
Choose this if weight or budget is the deciding factor, or you are trying the shape before committing to it. View Product
